Open Garden Day – Tyntynder Homestead Sunday 5th May

We have been invited to participate in this event that will be a fundraiser for “Friends of Tyntynder Homestead”.  Renovations are currently underway at the homestead, so only the gardens are open.  We are welcome to come along and do some plein air painting/drawing on the day; to have an information stand, and Lorri had offered to have a table set up to “draw with us” for visitors.  We will not be charged, however other visitors will pay an entry fee.  Morning and afternoon tea and a BBQ lunch will be available for purchase.

Contact Lorri if your wish to participate.  # We can also promote our upcoming exhibition at this event.

Mothers Day Exhibition & Devonshire Tea to raise funds for Cancer Research

This will be held over two days.  Friday 10th & Saturday 11th May, 10am – 4pm at The Grain Shed, 2 King Street Swan Hill.  MASH members are invited to have a table to showcase and sell their art.

Our display stands will be set up in the foyer to feature a variety of artworks by MASH.

We also need helpers to work in the kitchen and help serve the Devonshire tea /coffee.  A roster will be set up for this.  Anyone who can lend a hand on one or both days will be appreciated!

The public will be charged $10 per person for Devonshire tea.  Lorri will handle sales and she has an EFT device for card sales.  All proceeds will be paid into MASH bank account and artists will be paid after sales have been reconciled.  Proceeds from the Devonshire teas plus 10% of art sales will be donated to raise funds for cancer research.

Donna will be collecting milk jugs and teapots next Wednesday for our Mothers Day Morning Tea in May. We would gladly accept any that you can spare. We will take good care of them, and a permanent marker will be available if you wish to write your initials on the bottom.

Volunteers will also be needed for a roster at Coles to sell raffle tickets and hand out flyers to promote our exhibition.  Please talk to the working group for further details.  Merrilyn, Gail, Donna and Norma.
