Welcome to 2019!
We hope everyone has had a lovely break over Christmas & New year!
The first day back at the Motel is tomorrow 15 January. It’s going to be a hot one and we also have a birthday celebration !
The executive met last week and worked out some dates for our First Tuesday workshops and looked at some other weekend workshop ideas.
The Mothers Day exhibition at the library has been cancelled due to it clashing with the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery Exhibition.

The pleasures of food are many and complex…..extending far beyond the kitchen table. From cultivation of the land and the sowing of seeds, the harvest, the catch and the kill, the aroma of baking , a pot simmering on the stove. Food production, preparation and dining are represented here in a selection of paintings that reference the age old visual arts tradition of still life.
Paverpol Workshop
Paverpol is a much sought after fabric hardener that was developed by a group of artists in the Netherlands. Artists and hobbyists have been using it for over 15 years and love its versatility. It is weatherproof and adhesive and becomes rock hard when dry. Paverpol can be used to make all sorts of materials rock hard. Porous materials such as textiles, paper, chamois leather, fiberglass, self-hardening clay and all kinds of natural materials are ideal. It will adhere to wood, ceramics, plaster, concrete, stone. You can make figurines, wire figurines, garden statues, dolls, sculptures and many, many other decorations.
This workshop will be held over 2 days with day 1 being preparation of the wire structure and day 2 at Sue’s attaching this to your support and then applying the Paverpol.
Materials will be supplied but if you have old lace and other suitable fabrics please bring them along. Helen Mac & Judy will be providing guidance on the days and an information leaflet will be provided.
Free to MASH Members!
Limit of 10 people.
